Hi my name is Belinda Vesey-Brown and I am doing the Anzac Day Kokoda track this year. It all started with a list. You see I am a business owner and I have a business coach who asked me a while back now to put together my 100 dreams list. It is basically a list of 100 things that I want to do. It took me a few weeks to put it together and print it out for my wall but a really worthwhile experience. Having it on my wall at my desk really helps to keep things in perspective, keeps me focused and really determined to get the most of our my life.
Doing Kokoda is number 40 (but you don’t have to do them in order, I certainly am not!). Tanya one of my treasured friends and senior designer on our team saw my list and said - Ahhhh Kokoda I want to do that too and so for Tanya’s 30th birthday it was decided and we were booked. The power of writing things down.
We really didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into and still I don’t really know the depth of how this experience will touch me, but I can’t wait. This blog is an account of our experience to training and getting to the end of the Kokoda Track.
