Girls go abseiling

As part of the Women’s EE group, we were lucky enough to have an abseil after our 3 hour session at Mount Coot-tha on Saturday. Here are some pics.

Fit or unfit?

Training has stepped up big time this week. Intensity is insane. Although I know we are getting fitter—the training has a way of playing tricks with your mind and makes you feel as unfit as when you started! We had another couple groups start their first week with us also, they can now see that training doesn’t get any easier.

On a different subject: We heard this week that our trainer, John may not be the one going with us on our trek—devastating—will keep you up-to-date.

Mental note: May need to bribe with lamingtons!

Tanya is COMING again :)

I am so excited to announce that Tanya is able to come again to Kokoda with me. I feel so incredibly happy to have her going on the trip again as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity that we can do together. What a way to end the week.

See you at training tomorrow morning Tanya. Bring the rice!

Graphic design agency, RED-i Design is taking character-building exercises to the next level. Business Director and Co-founder, Belinda Vesey-Brown is in preparation to embark on the infamous Kokoda Track.

The Kokoda track is regarded as one of the toughest treks in the world. With this in mind, RED-i Design Principal Designer and Co-founder, Belinda Vesey-Brown is taking up the challenge. The adventure will commence on the 20th April 09, in commemoration with the ANZAC day memorials.

Belinda is by no means an adventure-seeking junkie. At 160cm tall with a petite stature, this business savvy career woman is no cliché. She has gone from working two days a week as a freelance designer to now overseeing a busy commercial design studio with a team of ten, within six years.

“I can see how far RED i-Design has come in the last seven years, but I am still looking forward. As the business grow so do I, and I am always looking for ways to widen my experiences and discover strengths I never knew I had. Kokoda, I know will help me grow as a person, employer and as a woman in business”. Belinda Vesey-Brown.

Fulfilment in a job can be just as important as in ones life, and having a great support network can be the difference between achievement and falling short.

My team at RED i-Design have kept the motivation up every step of the way. Just as they do with all projects that we are handed. The teams dedication is rewarded every time we hand over the finished product to a client and watch as their business grows. I feel privileged to work with them, and grateful that they are there for me”.

If you are looking for ways that you can improve your market competitiveness, we can help. RED-i Design is a boutique design studio producing visual design solutions for small to medium businesses, Government, Councils and Franchises.

There’s a ME in Team.

Training is going great. I have started to get to know my fellow team members and we have really pulled together as a team. Its great hearing their stories and having new friends that help push you beyond your limits. I’m really enjoying this experience, I just hope Tanya gets cleared to come with us. I feel for her and still have my fingers crossed. Good luck Tanya.
